5. W przypadku stwierdzenia istotnych różnic między dokumentacją geologiczną, o której mowa w art. 88 ust. 2 pkt 1–3, a stanem rzeczywistym, w tym warunkami zagospodarowania wód podziemnych, właściwy organ administracji geologicznej może, w drodze decyzji, nakazać zmianę dokumentacji geologicznej, a w razie potrzeby – wykonanie dodatkowych prac geologicznych. Decyzja ta określa termin przedłożenia dodatku do dokumentacji geologicznej.
