5a. W sprawach organizacyjno-finansowych, w tym w sprawach z zakresu prawa pracy, Wyższy Urząd Górniczy wraz z okręgowymi urzędami górniczymi stanowi jednostkę organizacyjną, w której zadania przewidziane w ustawie z dnia 21 listopada 2008 r. o służbie cywilnej (Dz. U. z 2024 r. poz. 409 oraz z 2025 r. poz. 620 i 1661) dla dyrektora generalnego urzędu wykonuje dyrektor generalny Wyższego Urzędu Górniczego.
