1. Państwowa służba geologiczna jest finansowana ze środków budżetu państwa w części dotyczącej środowiska będących w dyspozycji ministra właściwego do spraw środowiska.
2. Państwowa służba geologiczna może być dofinansowana z innych środków publicznych, na zasadach dotyczących wykorzystania tych środków.
