Art. 158. Jeżeli ustawa nie stanowi inaczej, do zakresu działania organów administracji geologicznej należy wykonywanie określonych zadań, a w szczególności:

1) podejmowanie rozstrzygnięć oraz wykonywanie innych czynności niezbędnych do przestrzegania i stosowania ustawy, w tym udzielanie koncesji;

2) kontrola i nadzór nad działalnością regulowaną ustawą, w tym w zakresie projektowania prac geologicznych oraz sporządzania dokumentacji geologicznych.
