1. Wyróżnia się następujące typy podziemnych składowisk odpadów:

1) podziemne składowisko odpadów niebezpiecznych;

2) podziemne składowisko odpadów obojętnych;

2a) podziemne składowisko odpadów promieniotwórczych;

3) podziemne składowisko odpadów innych niż niebezpieczne, obojętne i promieniotwórcze.
