7a. Minister właściwy do spraw środowiska może upoważnić państwową służbę geologiczną do rozporządzania informacją geologiczną w postaci danych geologicznych. W przypadku udzielenia takiego upoważnienia państwowa służba geologiczna przedkłada ministrowi właściwemu do spraw środowiska wykaz umów o korzystanie z informacji geologicznych zawartych w danym roku, zawierający informację o stronie umowy, wysokości wynagrodzenia oraz zakresie udostępnionych danych geologicznych, w terminie miesiąca od zakończenia tego roku.
