§ 1. Przedsiębiorca składowy odpowiada za szkodę wynikłą z utraty, ubytku lub uszkodzenia rzeczy w czasie od przyjęcia jej na skład do wydania osobie uprawnionej do odbioru, chyba że udowodni, że nie mógł zapobiec szkodzie, mimo dołożenia należytej staranności.
