Art. 816. W razie ujawnienia okoliczności, która pociąga za sobą istotną zmianę prawdopodobieństwa wypadku, każda ze stron może żądać odpowiedniej zmiany wysokości składki, poczynając od chwili, w której zaszła ta okoliczność, niewcześniej jednak niż od początku bieżącego okresu ubezpieczenia. W razie zgłoszenia takiego żądania druga strona może w terminie 14 dni wypowiedzieć umowę ze skutkiem natychmiastowym. Przepisu tego nie stosuje się do ubezpieczeń na życie.
